NYU has a unique opportunity for a highly customer-focused individual. The Special Programs Administrator plays an integral role in the planning, logistics, and execution of University HR Recognition Programs events that honor employee excellence and Administrative Management Council (AMC) initiatives that engage and enable administrators to flourish in their careers at NYU. The responsibilities in support of the AMC will consist of the analysis and organization of council processes and management of communications that can impact thousands of administrators at the University. Acts as administrative liaison for the AMC with other University offices; interprets and applies University policies, practices, and procedures to address various administrative matters while partnering with the elected officers of the AMC. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional time management and organizational skills to manage the complex number of activities within this role. The role requires high-level data management skills, the ability to monitor expenditures against budget, and the management of student employees, ensuring timely delegation and appropriate oversight of assigned work. This role requires flexibility to be on-site as needed.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
2+ years relevant experience in administering programs or services, event management, and communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational and project management skills. Excellent problem solving and people skills. Strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $72,000.00 to USD $88,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
