Position Summary

Provide academic advisement and related student services to prospective and current students in the undergraduate programs of Nutrition and Food Studies. Interpret applicable University policies and procedures, program requirements, acceptable electives, and alternative/ substitute courses. Plan and implement recruitment and orientation activities. Facilitate seminars and events that enhance the academic experience and professional development of undergraduate students. Interface with appropriate University offices and departments to expedite processing of online graduation tracking, transfer credit evaluations and reviews, and substitutions. Respond to inquiries concerning the school, department, and program offerings.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Nutrition, Higher Education and Student Affairs, Counseling, or related field.

Required Experience:
2+ years experience advising and counseling students at the college or university level or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to plan and deliver special events and seminars. Ability to manage budgets. Knowledge of standard office software

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $82,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
