The Department Administrator will oversee and execute the initial student employee onboarding process for on-campus jobs in the Brooklyn Wasserman location This position is the Handshake operations expert and is expected to build expertise on the platform and design best practices for use for on-campus student employment. This position is essential in managing multiple projects and priorities to ensure a smooth and seamless experience for students and on-campus employers such as maintain records of student access; manage the employer page and on-campus postings in the Handshake system; communicate with students and on-campus employers; as well as managing the process of evaluating jobs and appointing student employees. The Department Administrator will work closely with the Student Employment team on areas such as event planning, communications, processing and data management. In addition, this position will collaborate with the Brooklyn Wasserman team to resolve any facilities issues to foster a welcoming environment for stakeholders visiting the space.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must have experience managing budgets and staff. Must include experience managing systems and processes, communicating with a variety of stakeholders.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $77,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
