Position Summary

The College of Arts & Science (CAS) is seeking a talented Executive Assistant/Office Manager to join the Office of the Dean. This individual will oversee the daily operations of the Dean's Office at CAS, providing administrative support to the Dean. They will manage office activities, oversee the office’s operations budget, as well as the Dean’s schedule and appointments. This position will also draft communications on the Dean's behalf, coordinate CAS-related travel, manage the Dean's advisory council, and support CAS-sponsored events. The Executive Assistant/Office Manager supervises the Dean’s office staff and student workers, as well.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years progressively responsible experience in academic administration or an equivalent combination. Must include experience with planning and executing events and activities.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to implement and interpret policies and procedures. operational and staff supervision. Excellent organization and problem-solving skills. Strong research and writing skills. Ability to communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels. Advanced proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $80,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
