Position Summary

Financial Analyst, Exhibitions is responsible for a wide variety of activities associated with the planning and implementation of an ambitious Exhibition and Public Programming schedule. Provide financial support to the department and perform integral financial planning. Develop and manage Institute's fiscal year and project budgets, generate fiscal reports, conduct trends' analysis and prepare forecasts, assess accounts' status and feasibility of moving forward with projects; ensure all financial transactions conform to ISAW policy. Manage the implementation of rigorous exhibition time-lines from project conception to completion. Manage gallery and gallery store operations including a group of part-time gallery attendants and docents and e-commerce store; liaise between Exhibition Director and digital marketing firm overseeing press outreach for exhibitions. Plan and coordinate ISAW annual newsletter and news blog.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Business Administration, Non-profit Administration, or related field

Required Experience:
3+ years of relevant professional level experience; including experience in exhibitions management, budget and financial planning.

Preferred Experience:
5+ years Cultural Institution of University

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Advanced budgetary and financial skills. Excellent diplomatic and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with high level museum and cultural institution officials as well as possible exhibition sponsors; ability to make sound, independent decision; ability to advise and guide team through projects. Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills. Ability to meet fixed deadlines. Knowledge of standard office software database and financial applications (Excel, Google Sheets), familiarity with InDesign.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Interested in arts and cultural institutions. Interested in the ancient world.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $80,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
