NYU Law School is looking for a motivated individual to serve as an Administrative Aide for a faculty member who both teaches and runs a programmatic center. This individual will perform a wide variety of secretarial tasks including scheduling and calendaring; serving as an interface with students, center employees, and other faculty; adopting and working with new software and apps; budgeting and spreadsheets; handling a range of correspondence including compiling letters of recommendation; booking and coordinating travel for the faculty member, maintaining digital file systems; and handling communications of a confidential nature.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent or an Associate's degree or some college.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years of office experience with High School diploma. 2 years of office experience with Associate's degree or some college.
Preferred Experience:
1+ years of office experience with Bachelor's degree
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding. Good proofreading and writing skills.

Personable and professional. Excellent writing, proofreading, and communication skills. Highly organized and comfortable with multi-tasking. Strong time management skills. Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet database and other applications. Able to learn new things and quick to pick up new applications. Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding.Careful attention to detail. Able to plan or assist in planning events and meetings. Ability to work both independently and on teams. Respond well to guidance and direction.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $37.900. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
