The Graduate School of Arts & Science (GSAS) is seeking a talented Academic Compliance Administrator to join the Office of the Dean. This individual will ensure the GSAS departments and programs adhere to school, university and government academic regulations, policies, and standards. The Administrator will evaluate and monitor department processes to ensure academic compliance, develop relevant training programs and create shared best practices for reference. They will work with the GSAS Dean and leadership staff on developing and implementing improvement plans to ensure compliance. The Administrator will also manage tracking of various student data and related agreements ensuring adherence to rules and regulations, and promoting student and program success.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years relevant experience in higher education interpreting policy, auditing data, and compliance analysis/implementation.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience in academic compliance or a related field is preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with various stakeholders to promote a culture of academic integrity and compliance. Strong understanding of NYS and Federal academic standards, regulations, and accreditation requirements. Excellent analytical, data management and research skills to identify and address issues quickly. Excellent time management with the capacity to prioritize competing responsibilities. Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of staff and faculty.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Advance knowledge of Google applications, MS Office Suite and other database applications.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
