Position Summary

The Associate Director, Marketing & Communications will be responsible for marketing and communications to prospective and admitted graduate students interested in NYU Wagner's degree, certificate, and non-degree programs. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to achieve graduate enrollment goals, in alignment with leadership's directives. They will also oversee the organization and coordination of activities with partner vendors who provide digital marketing, media, and research services to the office, as well as suggest new approaches for promoting NYU Wagner. Additionally they will partner with their supervisor to oversee the execution of marketing campaigns in an effective and well-coordinated multichannel approach; write, create, and publish marketing content across multiple digital platforms, including web, email, social media, and multimedia channels; and develop and maintain metrics to measure the success of marketing and recruitment efforts including UTM tracking and ROI analyses. They will also ensure adherence to the school's overall brand and marketing strategies, supervise marketing staff, student workers, manage external vendors and budgets, utilize CRM (Slate) and other tools (Google Analytics, on-platform analytics) to support all marketing initiatives, and provide robust reports and dashboards with summaries, analyses, and recommendations for leadership.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years of experience in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, or equivalent combination. Must include experience in creating and managing content in digital space including website, blogs, social media, multimedia content, and other online platforms. Experience utilizing data to make decisions on marketing campaign placement, flighting, and optimization.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication, project planning, and editorial judgment. Ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines. Thorough knowledge of digital marketing and experience using multiple forms of new media and technologies. Knowledge of online marketing and recruitment process, including basic knowledge of HTML and web content management systems. Experience in measuring and monitoring digital marketing and how these analytics can be applied to marketing and recruitment strategies. Experience working with and managing external vendors as well as internal stakeholders. Familiarity with CRM systems to track marketing campaigns.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience working at or managing advertising agency partners. Experience managing staff and a marketing budget. Proficiency in video, audio, digital photograph processes, and editing software. Familiarity with iMovie and/or Final Cut Pro. Proficiency in or familiarity with Google Analytics, AdWords, and Tag Manager. Proficiency in Slate. Graphic design skills a plus. Familiarity with digital accessibility standards.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
