This position will be an integral part of the Tandon Career Hub to provide coaching services and job search support to all NYU Tandon undergraduate, graduate students amd alumni. Position will support the planning, development and implementation of an integrated program and service designed to assist students in developing skills needed for job placement and career management. The Assistant Director will also oversee our LeetCode and Data Science Bootcamps, including managing marketing and retention efforts, supervising the graduate level bootcamp instructors, and ensuring that the program is running smoothly. Assists in organizing on-campus recruitment efforts and cultivating relationships with potential employers. Incumbent will liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to create and advertise job and internship opportunities for NYU Tandon students and to organize and deliver career-related events (workshops, trainings, career fairs, on-campus recruitment, etc.) Monitors external job market conditions to assess trends impacting Tandon students.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related area
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Related field (human resources, coaching)
Required Experience:
5+ years Related experience (human resources, training, and/or career coaching) for career events or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of and experience with career coaching best practices. Familiar with OPT/CPT, international student employment legislation. Ability to think strategically and provide sound and personalized coaching based on the student audience (international vs domestic, by major, by industry of interest).
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $90,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
