Position Summary

Arts & Science is seeking a dynamic Academic Advisor to join the College Advising Team, specifically the Senior Support Team. Reporting to the Director of Senior Support Advising, this position will provide support to students in their final year who are preparing to graduate, leveraging data for the purposes of partnering with institutional stakeholders to facilitate timely graduation, and assisting with the planning and development of programs and initiatives designed around supporting the senior year experience.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts discipline or relevant field.

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience in advising and/or student services, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience in advising and/or student services, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to advise and support diverse student populations and have a strong commitment to liberal arts education. Ability to communicate effectively to individuals at all levels.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
