Position Summary

Advise undergraduate students regarding department requirements for registration, enrollment and graduation. Monitor the academic progress of all students. Assist in planning and implementing recruitment activities for prospective students. Support and assist in instructional activities in the undergraduate program which also includes participation in teaching the New Student Seminar each semester. Partner with the Steinhardt Alumni community and the undergraduate & graduate advisors to develop and maintain alumni connections.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Higher Education Administration or Student Personnel Administration

Required Experience:
3+ years experience advising students and administering educational programs at the college or university level or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervision experience. 

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with a diverse population. Knowledge of standard office software.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $83,985.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
