Position Summary

Manage and maintain digital content across various online platforms, including Kanbar Film & Television websites and social media channels, and maintain consistency with NYU Kanbar Film & Television mission and content management strategy. Critically assess digital content to ensure it is engaging, accurate, meets brand/style guides and accessibility standards, and is organized so that information is easy to find, understand, and act in support of user success. Create multimedia content—including written copy, graphic design, and video—that increases NYU faculty, staff, and student understanding of and engagement with technology services and tools. Monitor website traffic, performance metrics, search engine optimization (SEO), and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance the user experience. Stay up-to-date on current practices and trends and maintain technical skills.

Required Experience:
3+ years experience developing and managing digital content, administering websites and web application project management.

Preferred Experience:
3+ years experience in an academic environment. Experience working with social media.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience as primary content manager of one or more websites using a full-featured content management system (Adobe CQ, WordPress, or similar). Solid understanding of, and experience with, HTML, CSS, XML/XSLT, and JavaScript. Ability to learn and strictly follow communications-related policies and brand and accessibility standards to ensure content compliance. Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO, and ability to analyze quantifiable data from technical sources and survey data to create actionable reports and recommendations. Demonstrated skills in multimedia content development, including copywriting, digital graphic design, and photography. Demonstrated skills in producing video content from planning, and filming to posting for the web. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to multitask, agilely balance shifting priorities, and deliver on time-sensitive schedules. Excellent collaboration, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to learn and strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Software knowledge in DaVinci Resolve, and Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, and MediaEncoder. Knowledge of PHP, SQL, and other web programming languages. Experience with social media content management. Understanding of digital accessibility, usability, and other web content best practices. Strong relationship-building skills in support of improved work processes and knowledge-sharing. Ability to work cross-functionally with a wide range of technical and non-technical faculty, administrators, and staff. Familiarity with or willingness to learn additional content management and distribution platforms. Basic live video production and editing. Experience in developing media campaigns for print and media from development, strategic planning, to execution.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $82,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
