Manage sponsored research grants, contracts, gifts, and faculty 'start-up' funds. Advise Principle Investigators on grant funds management and budget planning, interpret terms of grant contracts, monitor appropriate spending, analyze and revise budgets, and prepare grant reporting. Provide administrative support to senior faculty, including responding to correspondence and inquiries independent of faculty members' involvement and determining when to escalate matters to their attention; plan and implement seminars, colloquia, and other events.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
2+ years relevant experience with budget or grants management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience in an academic or research environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and communication skills. Knowledge of database and spreadsheet software.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of laws, principles, rules and policies relating to federally funded grants and contracts to universities.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $72,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
