Position Summary

NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate Director for the Initiative on Purpose and Flourishing. The Senior Associate Director will work in close partnership with the Director to develop a 5 year strategic plan for the Initiative on Purpose and Flourishing. They will drive program strategy, ensuring a cohesive programmatic arc that integrates both the emerging curriculum and research emerging from the center. The Senior Associate Director will manage business development such as fundraising, grant writing, strategic partnerships, alumni engagement, marketing & outreach. They will develop and implement both in-person and virtual sessions, conferences, and symposiums to foster learning and engagement of participants; and utilize and create tools to support participants’ learning. They will evaluate and generate post-program reports for programs, and use data to inform strategic decision making and improve programs and curriculum. They will also serve as a core evangelist for the Initiative, sustaining and building a cross-sector network of people and organizations ready to engage with the Initiative’s mission.This is a 2 year fixed term position. 

Qualifications

The selected candidate will have a bachelor degree (Master’s degree or MBA preferred) and 5+ years of professional experience in project/program management, relationship building, fundraising, event planning or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated interest in areas of purpose and flourishing is required. Related experience in an academic institution is preferred. Exceptional organization, strategic planning, and analytical skills are required along with a proven ability to develop new initiatives and work in a startup environment. Strong program/project management skills, including ability to synthesize large sets of information, develop/track action plans is needed. Proven ability to cultivate and manage relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with teams is also essential. Excellent communication and attention to detail, including the development of teaching materials is needed. Ability to travel 10-20% is also required.



Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $105,000 to USD $125,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
