Manage day-to-day operations of the audio/visual screening, classroom, and film study center services for the Department of Cinema Studies. Develop budgets and monitor and approve expenditures to stay within budget. Develop and implement operational policies and practices to ensure that classes run smoothly and successfully and that the safety and security of faculty, students, facilities, and equipment is realized. Manage computer hardware and software for office staff, classrooms, film study center and faculty: troubleshoot and solve IT related problems. Serve as department representative to Tisch and NYU IT. Research new technologies and make recommendations for current and future classroom needs. Develop and implement policy and procedures for use of film study center and classroom facilities. Consult and collaborate with archivist and MIAP tech concerning MIAP lab, digital storage, database and web activities for the Cinema Studies archive and MIAP Program. Ensure training is consistent with established best practices and School curricular standards and related technologies. Supervise equipment inventory, purchase, research, repair, maintenance and distribution.
