Position Summary

Oversee the department’s industry-facing capabilities; raise awareness of the Game Center through event & conference coordination, social media and mass communication tools; provide career development services to students and alumni; Manage all programming aspects of the Center of Excellence in Digital Game Development (CoE). Build partnerships within the games industry and represent the Game Center at industry events. Plan and execute programs for students that are educational or bolster a sense of community within the Game Center.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
2+ years progressively responsible experience in academic or office administration. Must include experience managing creative teams. Must have a working knowledge of the games industry and stay up to date with industry work practices.

Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience in academic environment and/or games industry position

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with distinguished visitors, faculty, and students. Proven ability to direct and implement a variety of operations and activities, to communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels and use problem solving. Knowledge of standard office software, web publishing, and social media. Extensive knowledge of games and game industry.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $62,712.00 to USD $76,648.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
