Manages all aspects of two Center of Genomics and System Biology (CGSB) laboratories in New York in liaison with NYU Abu Dhabi. Includes lab procurement, ordering lab supplies, facilitating shipment of research materials to/from Abu Dhabi, coordinating lab meetings in NY and with the lab in Abu Dhabi. General lab management including lab safety and EHS inspections.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree preferably in Biology or similar area of study
Required Experience:
5+ years experience working at an institution of higher education. experience working in a laboratory environment
Preferred Experience:
3+ years Experience working in a research lab, supporting high-level university administration. Experience working in a global environment
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of the sciences, computer savvy. Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Demonstrated ability to work well with others, as well as independently
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $86,380.84 to USD $106,380.84. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
