Position Summary

Performs managerial, technical and administrative support of the Technical Services Department. Provides support for the HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Shops as directed by the Technical Services Manager. Oversees the process for maintenance and repair of MEP equipment and systems by in-house staff, vendors and contractors. Provides training and managerial oversight of the preventative maintenance plan for the University's many MEP systems on a campus wide basis. Oversees capital improvements and deferred maintenance projects.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Marine or Facilities Engineering. EIT or Licensed Professional Engineer. Certified Energy Manager.

Required Experience:
5+ years Facility operations experience, including budgeting experience and vendor contract management experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Motivates, develops, and directs people as they work, identifying the best people for the job. Possesses strong willingness to learn new technical and mechanical skills and knowledge. Strong analytical, organizational, and communications skills.. Troubleshoots and resolves problems quickly and effectively.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Previous experience in the installation and programming of building automation systems.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $115,000.00 to USD $135,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
