Position Summary

SHIFT: Saturday - Wednesday 11:00PM - 7:30AM

 

Primarily responsible for hands-on maintenance of HVAC systems and related auxiliary equipment.

Qualifications

Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:
Associate's Degree Some college education in engineering and/or a completion certificate from a recognized trade school; familiarity with PC.

Required Experience:
3+ years mechanical maintenance experience with absorption/freon A/C equipment and stream/related heating systems.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong knowledge/skills in mechanical systems; intermediate knowledge/skills in electrical and plumbing systems; working knowledge/skills of refrigeration cycle, common parts, pneumatic/electric/electronic control systems; basic knowledge/skills in brazing, soldering, insulation, measuring, carpentry and sheet metal; basic knowledge of safety standards/regulation, current CFC regulation, physics and math; ability to read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and nameplates; good communication skills; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; New York City Refrigeration Engineer's license and EPA-CFC Universal certification.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $49.187. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
