Position Summary

Arts & Science is seeking a talented Grant Administrator to join the Department of Biology. This individual will manage a grant fund raising program from foundations and corporations including writing and submission of proposals, identification of grant opportunities for the Biology Department programs and the Center for Functional Genomics, researching program guidelines and fulfilling all reporting requirements on grants received.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree.

Required Experience:
2 years' relevant experience including grant budget development/grant writing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in an academic or research environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent writing, analytical, problem-solving skills, communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated success in writing funded proposals and in identifying and researching funding opportunities. Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals. Knowledge of standard office software.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $78,750.00 to USD $82,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
