Position Summary

Manage day-to-day administrative functions of program(s) for the Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies (DAUS) within the School of Professional Studies (SPS). Meet departmental needs including assisting with the development of office policies and procedures. Oversee adjunct faculty appointment and payment. Specifically, address questions around NYUSPS policies and procedures, course scheduling, course preparation, etc. Analyze faculty and course data, produce detailed faculty and course reports, and provide recommendations for course and faculty needs. Collect, analyze, and make recommendations based on student feedback data in order to determine student satisfaction. Advise students on issues such as curriculum requirements, course selection, registration, and career exploration. Plan and implement special student programs including prospective student outreach events and new student orientations. Attend School and University sponsored marketing events, information sessions and/or seminars to promote programs. Supervise student employees, make effective recommendations for hiring.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Must include experience planning and implementing administrative activities, project management, and qualitative and quantitative research.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in a higher education environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to promote programs, solve problems and interact with individuals at all levels. Familiarity with current and emerging trends to effectively recommend programs. Quantitative and qualitative research skills as well as experience working with Tableau or other data visualization platforms. Database management and project management experience. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high pressure environment and progress on multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $63,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
