Reporting directly to the College’s Associate Dean for Clinical Administration and Revenue Cycle Management, the Chief Clinical Technology Officer (CCTO) at NYU Dentistry is pivotal in providing strategic leadership and operational management for clinical technology services. This influential position holds delegated authority for policy and programmatic decisions, particularly on clinical systems and technology. Oversee the Clinical technology environment supporting patient care and clinical education functions, significantly impacting the largest dental school in the United States. Develop and execute a comprehensive clinical technology strategy that addresses the evolving needs of healthcare and academia. Foster collaboration with the Chief Information Officer, senior management, clinical administration, department chairs, and other stakeholders to develop, communicate, and manage a central technology plan that aligns seamlessly with the College’s overall mission.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education:
Relevant industry certifications, i.e. Cybersecurity, data science, etc.
Required Experience:
10+ years of increasingly experience managing clinical information technology. Proven experience in a leadership role. Must have substantial managerial experience in formulating, planning, leading, directing, and controlling a complex, broad, and highly technical healthcare or related function.
Preferred Experience:
7+ years of experience in healthcare or academic IT management or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic vision for technology services that align with organizational objectives. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and deliver operational results. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff. Wide range of in-depth technical understanding across IT disciplines. Demonstrated ability to understand the structure, operations, strategic objectives, regulatory issues and cultural environment of academic medical centers. In addition, must be able to implement strategic objectives within this environment.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of current and emerging healthcare and information technologies and systems.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $165,000.00 to USD $218,470.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
