Position Summary

The Division of Programs in Business (DPB) at NYU's School of Professional Studies (SPS) is seeking an Associate Director to direct administration of the Management and Technology graduate degree program. This individual will participate in strategic/academic planning and policy/curriculum development; assist in recruiting and onboarding qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses. They will also oversee the scheduling of courses, market the program, and assist in recruiting students.

 

This position is located in our Midtown Center, 20 W. 43rd Street.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline.

Preferred Education:
Advanced degree in management and technology or a business-related discipline strongly preferred.

Required Experience:
5-7 years' managerial experience or equivalent combination in relevant field. Must include professional experience in relevant field of business/professional services or higher education. Must have a student-centered service attitude, a collaborate approach to working with faculty and be able to work well with a multi-cultural community of faculty and students. Must have direct familiarity with relevant field.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in management and technology and in higher education with program and curriculum development, supervision of instructional and program staff, and the program budget.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to plan, develop and implement programs and develop retention strategies based on an understanding of the content area. Ability to engage credibly with industry, effectively communicate verbally and in writing, evaluate programs and staff, and market programs and retain students. Familiarity with emerging technologies.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Practical and substantive understanding of business, particularly in the area of management and technology. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically. Must be able to work in a changing environment and practice creative problem-solving.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $72,800.00 to USD $92,800.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
