Position Summary

Manage sponsored research grants, contracts, gift and faculty 'start-up' funds. Advise Principal Investigators on grant funds management and budget planning, new funding opportunities, and status of accounts. Interpret funding agency and University guidelines and terms of grant contracts. Monitor appropriate spending, analyze and revise budgets, and develop financial reports for sponsoring agents to ensure compliance with required grant reporting.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
2+ years Relevant experience with budget or grants management or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience with budget administration.

Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience in an academic or research environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite. Verbal and written communication skills. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Strong data management skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Attention to detail.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of laws, principles, rules and policies relating to federally funded grants and contracts to universities.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $66,150.00 to USD $80,850.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
