Position Summary

Manage key components of Student Health Center administrative operations while demonstrating successful collaboration with internal clinical and non-clinical constituent groups and University partners. Formally serve as the appointed Privacy Officer for the Student Health Center. Ensure compliance in key areas including health information management, state immunization mandates, health center related training, and other requirements. Guide and manage core internal communications to promote engagement and convey vital information to staff. Coordinate strategic procurement by partnering with SHC units and enterprise procurement to ensure that exploration and selection of vendors meet high quality expectations while optimizing resource allocation. Ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding functions at the unit level and liaise with enterprise groups that facilitate University functions. Co-manage the clinical credentialing process to review health care providers’ qualifications to practice and assess the qualifications of specific types of providers.


Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Business, Healthcare Administration, or relevant field

Required Experience:
5+ years progressively responsible professional level experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience directing health services operations including program development, business affairs, health care compliance (i.e., HIPAA and other regulations), and staff development/supervision.

Preferred Experience:
7+ years experience in a large urban university health services environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and strategic management skills. Proven ability to develop, direct and implement Student Health Center policies and procedures and strategic plans for future development. Knowledge of administrative best practices for ambulatory healthcare environment.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $140,000.00 to USD $160,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
