Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Administrative Manager, this position advises our continuing undergraduate MAE students (sophomore – senior standing) on a wide range of academic issues, assists with the planning and development of signature advising programs, and will make recommendations to the MAE administrative team and Department Chair as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a relate field

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Master's degree in Student Personnel Administration, Counseling, or other appropriate field.

Required Experience:
2+ years Experience in student advising or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience advising students at the college or university level, preferably in engineering or similar discipline.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to advise and provide solutions to problems

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of standard office software. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $61,200.00 to USD $74,800.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
