Position Summary

Manage day-to-day operations of the Experimental Theatre Wing: develop and implement operational and creative policies and procedures to ensure curriculum delivery and smooth production of student performances; ensure safety of faculty, students, facilities and equipment. Provide services to faculty and students. Manage assigned budget. Supervise staff. Assist Studio Director and department leadership to develop and implement strategic plan.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in theatre arts

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Higher Education or theatre related field

Required Experience:
3+ years of administrative experiencing managing an arts related program. Experience must included budget, facility and program management, student services and staff supervision

Preferred Experience:
3+ years in University and/or equivalent professional setting

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral skills. Demonstrated ability to interact with widely varied constituencies. Must demonstrate ability to exercise astute judgment and discretion on sensitive issues. Proven ability to take initiative and collaborate with others. Competency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with current technologies, applications and trends.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $65,000.00 to USD $85,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
