Provide administrative support to the Vice Dean for Academic and Faculty Affairs and Office of Faculty Affairs Program Manager including assisting with managing budgets, and administrative tasks including managing meetings, and coordinating the faculty recruitment and promotion/tenure process. Work with the Office of Faculty Affairs Program Manager to develop and make recommendations to Dean on improvements to and possible courses of action within existing departmental policies and procedures and on planning departmental special events and office activities.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Public Health or related field
Required Experience:
2+ years relevant experience supporting a senior level administrator. Must include experience supervising office operations and student staff and temporary employees; administering budgets, and planning special events and activities.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in an academic environment and project coordination.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills attention to detail problem-solving communication (oral and written) skills Strong quantitative and qualitative skills. Knowledge and understanding of analytical tools, such as SAS, Excel, SQL. Strong problem solving and time management skills Flexible with an ability to juggle competing priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to solve technical problems by applying methodologies and tooling. Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems. Familiarity with a variety of software programs including Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with data management software and research specific applications. Familiarity with data collection policies to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $67,500.00 to USD $82,500.00.
