NYU’s Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for a Production Director of the Stern Studio. The Production Director will manage, maintain, produce, assess, and grow the services offered by The Studio at Stern. The selected candidate will manage live uplink/broadcast, synchronous & asynchronous productions, videoing and full post-production. They will serve as the lead advisory and technical production resource for creating online programs and content including online degree courses, online course contents for onsite courses, studio broadcasting, special events and podcasts. The selected candidate will lead faculty (and student projects), make production recommendations and ensure productions are of world-class quality. They will also hire and supervise staff, student workers and freelancers in a variety of capacities across the production spectrum.
The selected candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Film/TV Production or related field and 5 years of demonstrated experience managing a relevant production, studio, and post-production experience in all aspects of audio and video production technologies, for recording and exhibition; maintaining and operating multi-media equipment, video/data projection systems, and surround sound audio systems; production and post-production workflow; budget and material resource management; staff supervision, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluency with a variety of editing software, comfort with audio and color correction and lighting and rigging for a variety of production scenarios, experience with a range of cameras, from 5Ds to higher end models, intimate knowledge of video compression, codecs, formats, etc., demonstrated client interaction experience, ability to work at least 1-2 evenings / week and occasional weekends, desire and ability to take on key responsibilities in an everchanging environment, and an ability to learn quickly and supervise/mentor staff are also required.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000 to USD $130,000.
