Position Summary

The Educational Technologist works with faculty, staff and the Faculty Innovations in Teaching and Learning team to support the design, development, and implementation of instructional multimedia content for the Tandon School of Engineering, to provide a quality student experience and validate course learning goals. The Educational Technologist assists in meeting this goal by assisting with the development of course materials, maintaining content in the school learning management system, providing support to instructors and students in online courses, and identifying and implementing educational technologies to support course and program learning goals.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Design and Technology, Media Production, Educational Technology, or related field from an accredited institution

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in a related field

Required Experience:
2+ years experience in a video production environment, recording and editing video and audio, working on a project team, evaluating, implementing, and managing educational technology and tools, providing educational technology support to students and/or faculty or combination of education and experience

Preferred Experience:
2+ years Experience creating animation and graphic design.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Detailed knowledge of technology, including experience with digital media, web-based hardware, and software, learning management systems (BrightSpace), classroom technologies, social networking expertise and online educational delivery. Experience with Mac and PC hardware and software. Proficient with video editing tools, setup and production aspects of audio-video recording, photography. Skilled in data analysis, excellent writing and storytelling ability, and be aware of key trends. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP.

Proficient with HTML, CSS, PHP

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $90,750.00.
