NYU Gallatin recently celebrated its 50th anniversary as a rigorous, interdisciplinary liberal arts research and teaching institution. We seek a Senior Director who will build upon an already existing array of experiential learning opportunities at our school and turn them into a central, cross-cutting pillar of Gallatin’s educational mission in its next half century.
The Senior Director of Experiential Learning will provide strategic direction and leadership in the design and administration of a new co-curricular unit responsible for enhancing the School’s exciting slate of experiential learning opportunities, including in the arts, civic engagement, humanistic sciences, and internships. The Senior Director will also work closely with the school’s senior leadership and faculty to articulate and implement a vision of well integrated experiential learning that can serve as a national and international model in innovative higher education. This position will also entail teaching one course per year in the Senior Director's area of expertise.
The successful candidate will bring a demonstrated commitment to the mission of interdisciplinary liberal arts education; extensive experience in the design and implementation of experiential learning programs; a strong teaching record; and skills in team management. Candidates should also demonstrate strong research, writing, and teaching skills, the ability to communicate with different academic constituencies, and should enjoy forging partnerships, building relationships, and amassing support from internal and external collaborators.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $145,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
