Assist with the overall collection effort and reduction of the Student Accounts receivable for current and noncurrent students. Monitor credit collection activity. Report and escalate activity to partner agencies as appropriate. Provide financial guidance to current and graduated students about payment options available to them. Authorize special payment plans, interest waivers, exceptions on deferments and temporary clearances. Negotiate payment terms on delinquent accounts. Perform required due diligence with federal and institutional loans and liaise with loan service provider to manage default rates. This role has a hybrid work schedule: Two days on-site and three days remote per week.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Required Experience:
2+ years related financial and/or collections experience including advising clients on financial matters and overseeing administrative processes or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with Peoplesoft Campus Solutions
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency in Excel; Excellent client service skills; Strong written and verbal communication skills.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $87,100.00.
