Position Summary

The Budget & Project Administrator will work with the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing (HIGN) and serve as point of contact between the various units of NYU. Manage and support a variety of budget and financial activities for HIGN interfacing with the College's Finance and Grants Offices. Conduct financial analyses. Develop and prepare and implement the organization's financial and business plans and budgets, submit purchase orders, prepare and send statements for accounts receivable and record all income and expenditures. Interpret financial reports. Compile and review the budgets taking into consideration actual performance, previous expenditures, and estimated expenses and income. Maintain accurate spending records and establish measures for budgetary control.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years related experience (accounting, financial reporting, analysis, budget, administration, project management or operations support)

Preferred Experience:
Proficient in social media.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to interface effectively with various disciplines and units across the NYU campus. Effective communication using different modalities, including verbal, report, email, and social media. Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate policies effectively; proficiency with spreadsheets, budgeting, database and financial software applications. Ability to effectively problem-solve, analyze information and data, think critically and use good judgment essential. Should be able to work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality of information. Strong time management and organization skills with flexibility to work in a fast-paced and changing work environment. Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to multitask and adjust priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Outstanding oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with the NYU environment. Familiarity with NYU's financial systems such as UDW, FAME, AP Workflow or other software, familiar with social media as a business platform.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
