Position Summary

Manage sponsored research grants, contracts, gift and faculty 'start-up' funds. Advise Principal Investigators on grant funds management and budget planning, new funding opportunities, and status of accounts. Interpret funding agency and University guidelines and terms of grant contracts. Monitor appropriate spending, analyze and revise budgets, and develop financial reports for sponsoring agents to ensure compliance with required grant reporting.


Required Education:
Bachelor's degree

Required Experience:
2 years' relevant experience with budget or grants management or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience with budget administration.

Preferred Experience:
Related experience in an academic or research environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with word processing, database, and spreadsheet software.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of laws, principles, rules, and policies relating to federally funded grants and contracts to universities.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $58,500.00 to USD $99,500.00.
