Perform a wide range of clerical, secretarial and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Respond to inquiries displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department's activities, policies and programs. Interact with the general public as NYU liaison and with University personnel including those at the senior level to resolve issues and problems. Respond to all department inquiries including those related to affiliation agreements and health clearance, schedule appointments, etc. Compile student/faculty materials, maintain and update department databases, track progress of affiliation agreements and health clearance for all applicants. Research and resolve routine and non-routine issues for the department, apprise supervisor of particularly complex or sensitive matters. Prepare and disseminate correspondence between the College of Nursing and all health clearance agencies. Prioritize office activities and delegate work to student and/or casual employees. Customize and/or compose letters on own initiative or in response to requests for information. Perform general word processing duties utilizing intermediate to advanced-level functions. Modify and/or create databases and complex spreadsheets. Maintain and secure confidential department records and files including verifying and auditing health clearance records.
Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education:
2 years of office experience (with Associate's degree). 1 year of office experience (with Bachelor's degree).
Required Experience:
3 years of office experience. Experience providing a high level of customer service. Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding. Ability to prioritize time sensitive projects. Exceptional organizational skills. Excellent proofreading and writing skills.
Preferred Experience:
Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office including Excel. Knowledge of desktop publishing software. Knowledge of Access. Experience with MS Access database software.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $34.629. This rate is based on the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
