The Administrative Manager is responsible for providing administrative and operational leadership to the Center for Urban Science and progress. Support a variety of stakeholders, including CUSP faculty, CUSP staff, CUSP students, and Tandon departments. Oversees operations for the center including monitoring budget, budget reporting, purchase card reconciliations, space planning, financial analysis, hiring processes, logistics, onboarding and offboarding. Supervise 6 graduate students. Position ensures effective and efficient delivery of quality and timely services, coordinates complex administrative matters, resolves escalated issues, and drives a culture of administrative excellence. Interfaces regularly with the Grants Manager, Academic team, Financial Analyst and Human Resources.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related area
Required Experience:
5+ years experience supervising operations and staff, finance/managing budgets or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Experience:
5+ years Experience at a non-profit or academic institution
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Outstanding writing skills. Excellent organization, planning, interpersonal, and networking skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, creatively resolve problems, and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to interact in a professional manner with all levels of faculty, staff, students and outside groups. Strong knowledge of MS Excel and familiarity with databases, MS Word and presentation software; ability to conduct research.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $120,000.
