Position Summary

Provide technical leadership in the design, development, installation and maintenance of hardware and software for Courant's internet, intranet, application and desktop computing server systems in a diverse and complex computing environment. Work on system and web applications using Python, HTML and Javascript.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree or Professional Certificate in Computer Sciences.

Required Experience:
3+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Must have experience with UNIX system administration, including installation, maintenance, support, problem identification and resolution, security planning and implementation, performance measurement and tuning, system design and configuration planning, as well as experience with application development.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to write proposals or papers and make presentations. Proven ability to provide technical leadership and manage projects. Knowledge of internet based applications, Linux, Windows and UNIX shell scripting. Working knowledge of Windows, MacOS and programming principles. Some programming experience.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience with Django, Python, HTML, Javascript. Experience with web development and microservices.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $58,500 - $105,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
