Responsible for the development and execution of creative marketing strategies and communications to promote and publicize the work of NYU Steinhardt Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions enrollment in its degree programs and attendance at its events. Oversee the development of content for the Department's website and its social media properties. Facilitate student recruitment by identifying recruitment events and coordinating Department or program representation at events and fairs, in coordination with NYU's Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Steinhardt's Office of Graduate Admissions. Collaborate with Department program faculty, Steinhardt's Office of Marketing and Communications, and NYU's Office of Public Affairs. Works closely with programs to support marketing initiatives focused on paid social media marketing, digital and print advertising, photography and video, public and internal email communications, and campaign management.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in communication, marketing or related field.
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in marketing or an MBA with a concentration in marketing.
Required Experience: 5+ years Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns and managing staff.
Preferred Experience: 3+ years significant exposure to and or knowledge of music and the performing arts.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience using web content management software.
