Position Summary

This position serves as a liaison between NYU Undergraduate Admissions office and the Tandon School of Engineering; to work in conjunction with the Assistant Dean, Admissions, in developing operating strategies to achieve the unique enrollment goals and net revenue needs of the Tandon School of Engineering, to assist central admissions with special events related to yielding programs unique to the Tandon School of Engineering, to monitor the discount rate, scholarship program and the net revenue of new and continuing students, to develop and cultivate working relationships with specific high schools and to assist in the generation of revenue-producing programs unique to the Tandon School of Engineering. Responsible to work in conjunction with Director, Recruitment and Marketing in order for the development, implementation, and assessment of a strategic recruitment plan designed to attract and enroll undergraduate students. The position serves as a liaison with academic team members including Associate Deans and Program Directors and is expected to positively and collaboratively work on campus-wide committees. Accountable for coordinating and managing specific constituent relationships or projects in addition to other duties as assigned. The position supervises a team that is responsible for executing enrollment and virtually and on-campus Tandon events for international and domestic students. Engaging in long-term planning and evaluation, as well as resource assessment and management while reporting directly to Associate Dean of Academic Affairs with strong dotted-line accountability with recruitment and marketing leadership, and campus leadership. Directs the awarding of 180+ donor-funded scholarships/awards $3,500,000 annually.


Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in a related field

Required Experience:
7+ years experience in higher education, admissions and enrollment at a selective doctoral degree-granting university. Working with undergraduate students, diverse groups in an educational or other non-profit organization and supervision. Using technology (e.g. PeopleSoft, enrollment management technology, web management, database management, PowerPoint, etc.) to support recruitment and data management and professional presentations.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of admissions, financial aid, and enrollment management policies and procedures.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills. Peoplesoft and common application system.
