The Senior Administrative Manager reports directly to the Dean. He/she administers a broad range of activities within the Office of the Dean; monitors school-wide progress on strategic goals; manages numerous projects and effectively follows-up, working in close collaboration with the Dean and other leaders. Researches, compiles and analyzes data, statistics and other information. In addition, will staff and coordinate follow- up for key management meetings; and oversee the liaison and follow-up with University and School constituents. Supervises office staff; oversees work flow to ensure effectiveness of administrative operations; oversees special projects and events; and represents and serve as an ambassador for the Office of the Dean.
7+ years of relevant experience in academic/administrative area, managing office operations, planning and implementing special events and activities and in collecting and analyzing data.
Experience in an academic or corporate environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent project management and writing skills required with the ability to research, analyze, and synthesize information. Superior interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with competing deadlines and priorities. Ability to develop, implement and interpret policies and procedures and effectively communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to a diverse population. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
This position requires a results orientation with demonstrated sound judgment and solution driven problem solving abilities. Strong writing/editing skills essential. Strong PC related skills in Microsoft Office including use of the Internet.
