Local 3882 - Union of Clerical, Administrative and Technical Staff (UCATS)
Provide assistance to users and technical support for multi-station local area network. Perform skilled maintenance and extensive equipment repair, troubleshoot equipment problems in the field, operate a variety of specialized equipment, set up hardware and consult with client employees on IT requirements and capabilities. Assist with training, prioritize, assign and review work of student employees.
Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent and some relevanttechnical training.
Preferred Education: Relevant certification.
Required Experience: 2-3 years of related experience. Experience providingcustomer support in an information technologyenvironment.
Preferred Experience: Experience providing support in a lab or departmentwithin a university setting.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Understanding of computing procedures and standards, as well as desktop and network configurations. Ability to operate a wide variety of technology equipment. Skilled at troubleshooting and performing moderately complex repairs.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of specialized software, systems, or technologies.
