Position Summary

The Senior Director is responsible for developing the overall strategy, plan, design and approach for all Project Change Management needs. This role will oversee the operations of change management and project governance across every initiative that the PMO oversees. In addition, this role is responsible for ensuring that senior leadership is provided with the information needed to make informed decisions, while overseeing the project change management, training, and communications functions. This role directly manages the change management team in the PMO and will oversee the establishment of user requirements, manage prioritization process, create new standards and procedures and all operations related to change management and project governance. Lastly, this role translates high level work plans and converts to detailed assignments for team members. The Senior Director monitors the status of assignments and reviews work for completion and quality assurance.


Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
10+ years of progressively responsible experience, including experience serving in a leadership role directing change management efforts for processinitiatives/systems implementations. Experience with projects through the project management lifecycle. Demonstrated experience making strategic change management decisions, developing sound recommendations, and guiding others' decision making associated with change management, including the potential benefits, consequences, and impact. and 7+ years of supervisory experience, including hiring, coaching, training, performance management and professionally developing staff.

Preferred Experience:
15+ years of experience managing large scale change management and service delivery projects. Experience in the Higher Education industry. Experience implementing a shared services center. Experience with ERP implementation.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership. Strong orientation toward service and collaboration. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to lead and establish direction in times of ambiguity. Expertise in a full range of change management capabilities, including training development and delivery; communications development and delivery; executive sponsorship and stakeholder management; launch support; and effective use of various learning delivery methods and knowledge management tools.
