The Office of Global Inclusion, Diversity and Strategic Innovation (OGI) at NYU seeks a successful operational and organizational leader who will help advance global inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity and access (GIDBEA) across trans-institutional research and educational missions of the University and build on the inclusion, diversity, belonging, and equity work across NYU’s operational areas. The incumbent will be a key member of the Senior Vice President for Global Inclusion and Strategic Innovation’s senior management team and will be responsible for the coordination of diverse business operations, with the goal of securing the alignment, and ongoing functionality of organizational and business operations that support and sustain the extensive administrative and academic operations across the global network of the University. The incumbent will achieve these objectives as follows: ● Provide the team and program management, and operational leadership to assist the SVP Global Inclusion and Strategic Innovation in realizing University and office goals, and in creating and fostering organizational alignment, program management and effective delivery of work across OGI areas; collaborate and partner with operational stakeholders at the University (including, but not limited to, Office of Equal Opportunity, Vendor Relations, NYU IT, Finance, Capital Projects and Facilities, affinity groups, etc.) through effective and targeted professional development, programming, and engagement. This includes providing the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that OGI has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the GIDBEA efforts to ensure operating efficiency and fiscal efficacy and alignment. ● Work collaboratively with the SVP and with other VPs and Senior Associate VPs as they spearhead University initiatives with a focus on program and professional development, mentorship, leadership, structural and organizational development, underutilization, and underrepresentation. This includes spearheading the development, communication, implementation, and measurement of effective growth GIDBEA strategies and processes and collaborating with the management team to develop related plans for the operational infrastructure of GIDBEA systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the NYU community. ● Serve as organizational champion to incorporate best practices for all operational planning considerations, and organizational and project management considerations. ● Serve as the SVP’s Chief Operating Officer with overall responsibility and accountability for Office budget and resource planning management.
