Position Summary

Performs supervisory, advanced technical and administrative supervision for Cogeneration Plant Maintenance & Operations shops. Provides support as directed to the Sr, Manager & Maintenance Manager. Directs and schedules the preventative maintenance and repair of Plant equipment. Assists Plant Management in the design, planning, installation, and commissioning of planned Plant Expansion.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree .

Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Marine or Facilities Engineering. EIT or Licensed Professional Engineer. Certified Energy Manager.

Required Experience:
5 years experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of major MEP equipment including high pressure steam vessels, large tonnage chillers, and associated steam, plumbing, and electrical distribution systems.

Preferred Experience:
5 years experience in the operation, maintenance, & repair of Powerhouse and/or Steam Plant equipment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS - Certificate of Qualification for Refrigeration System Operator of the City of New York - E.P.A. CFC Technician Certification.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Stationary Engineer's License, SCADA, BMS, Water Treatment.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $85,000 - $135,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
